Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Vouchvio (vouchvio.com) is operated by Otar Tevdorashvili, Tbilisi, Georgia, who is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@vouchvio.com.

2. What we collect and why

Browsing. You can use Vouchvio without an account. When you open a store page or click through to a store, we record a count for that store, the day, and your country. The country is looked up from your IP address with a database that runs on our own server; the IP address itself is not stored with these counts and is not sent to anyone. Requests that identify themselves as bots are not counted.

Abuse protection. To limit spam on our forms, your IP address is held in the server’s memory for up to one hour and is never written to disk.

Server logs. Like any web server, ours records technical request data (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.

Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address and the date you subscribed, and use them only to send you deals. Every email has an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing deletes your address.

Reviews. If you write a store review, we store the name you give, your rating and text, and your email address if you provide one. The name, rating and text are published once approved; your email is never published.

Coupon reports and submissions. When you report a code that does not work or submit a new one, we store what you entered. These forms do not ask for personal data; please do not include any in free-text fields.

Email. If you write to hello@vouchvio.com, we use your message and address only to reply.

3. Legal basis (GDPR)

Counts, abuse protection and server logs: our legitimate interest in running a secure site and knowing which offers are useful (Art. 6(1)(f)). Newsletter, analytics and reviews with an email address: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. Replying to your email: steps you asked us to take (Art. 6(1)(b)).

4. Cookies and local storage

Necessary, set without asking: vouchvio_locale (cookie, 12 months) remembers your language; vouchvio_cookie_consent (local storage) remembers your cookie choice; vouchvio_wishlist (local storage) holds the stores you saved. Saved stores stay in your browser and are not sent to us.

Analytics, only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner: we may load Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corp.) to understand which pages are used. The same choice also loads Skimlinks (Skimbit Ltd., part of Taboola), which turns ordinary links to retailers into affiliate links and sets cookies so that a purchase can be credited to us. If you reject or ignore the banner, none of these is loaded. You can change your choice by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

5. Affiliate links

Store buttons on Vouchvio are affiliate links. When you click one, you pass through the affiliate network that runs the retailer’s programme (currently Admitad, and Sovrn Commerce for some links in our guides) and arrive on the retailer’s site. The network and the retailer may set their own cookies so that a purchase can be credited to us. We receive commission and order totals from the network, but no personal details about you. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Who receives data

We do not sell or rent personal data. We use these service providers only for the purposes above: our domain registrar’s email forwarding (Namecheap) for mail to hello@vouchvio.com; Resend for sending newsletter email; Google and Microsoft for analytics, and Skimlinks for affiliate link tracking, if you consent. Some of them process data in the United States under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. The site itself is hosted on our own server in Georgia.

7. How long we keep it

Aggregate counts contain no personal data and are kept indefinitely. Newsletter addresses: until you unsubscribe. Reviews: while the store page exists, or until you ask us to remove them. Emails: as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@vouchvio.com; we reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority or to Georgia’s Personal Data Protection Service.

9. Children

Vouchvio is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We will update this page when what we collect changes, and change the date at the top.
